Effective June 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Mother and Father, Inc. (“Mother and Father,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware corporation, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and application (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Health disclaimer. Mother and Father provides general educational and organizational guidance for pregnancy, preconception, and early parenthood. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional care. We are not a healthcare provider, and using the Service does not create a doctor–patient relationship.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. You sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address, profile picture, and your Google account identifier. We do not receive or store your Google password.
  • Household and journey information you provide. This includes your parental role (mother or father), pregnancy or postpartum stage, due date or birth date, daily check-ins, tasks, decisions, notes, village/support contacts, and any partner invitations you send.
  • Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and stores your payment-card and billing details directly; we receive limited information such as subscription status and the last four digits or card brand, but never your full card number.
  • Usage and device information. We and our analytics provider automatically collect information such as pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and log data, using cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, personalize, and improve the Service, including generating your household protocol, meal plans, and reminders;
  • To create and secure your account and keep you signed in;
  • To process subscriptions, trials, and payments through Stripe;
  • To send transactional messages, such as partner invitations and account notices;
  • To understand how the Service is used and to develop new features;
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues; and
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a secure, httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in, a short-lived cookie during sign-in, and a cookie that temporarily stores your onboarding answers before you create an account. We and our analytics provider also use cookies to measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features (including staying signed in) require them.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:

  • Within your household. If you invite a partner or accept an invitation, members of the same household can see shared household information such as the journey stage, dates, tasks, and decisions.
  • Service providers. We share information with vendors that operate the Service on our behalf, including Google (authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), and our cloud hosting and database providers. They may process information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Health-related information

Information you enter about pregnancy, recovery, and family planning can be sensitive. We treat it with care and limit access to it. Mother and Father is not a “covered entity” or “business associate” under HIPAA, and the information you provide here is generally not protected by HIPAA. Please share only what you are comfortable providing, and do not use the Service for medical emergencies.

6. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections, hashed session tokens, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You can review and update much of your information within the Service, and you can request to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to delete your account, by contacting us at support@motherandfather.org. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including rights to access, deletion, correction, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for adults (18 and older) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
